Gardeners have loved the several species of marigolds, and their many varieties, for decades. Besides adding a cheerful pop of color in hues of yellows, oranges and dark reds, most marigold varieties also have a pleasantly spicy scent. Like many other flowers, they like full sun.
The marigolds seen in this photo are French dwarf marigolds, and grow to be about 6-10 inches tall.
The leaves seen at the bottom of the photo, mottled dark red and very light green, are of Coleus, a plant grown for its colorful leaves, rather than flowers.
